compare the Ohoe to other garden hoes

You and Your Ohoe
How It Works

The Ohoe can go almost anywhere and do almost anything. It's way more versatile than your ordinary garden hoe. Here's why:

It cuts in a circle. Use the Ohoe flat in a push-pull-shuffle, gliding just under the surface of the soil. This technique cuts the crowns of weed roots. The Ohoe breaks up the hard crust of compacted dirt and it works well in even the toughest clay soils.

Six Ways to Use Your Ohoe

Garden Hoe

Flip the Ohoe over and use it straight up and down like a traditional garden hoe. Work right up to your plants and pull away at whatever depth you wish to work. The smooth flat backside of your Ohoe is designed to protect your plants.

Row Planting

To prepare your soil for planting, shuffle through the dirt to the desired length of your row. Now flip the Ohoe over, and work back through the soil. Angle the Ohoe so that only one blade is in the soil, which will create furrow.. Adjust the downward pressure to get the depth you want. Your soil will be pulled over to one side, allowing you to plant your seeds. Then fill your ditch and pat your fluffy soil back down for a firm bed.

Irrigation Ditches

Let's say you want to irrigate your corn patch. Ordinarily you would spend a lot of time getting your ditches just right. And of course every weed is going to thrive in that ditch. With the Ohoe, just shuffle your weeds out of the way. Then come back through to create your ditch.

Around Hoses

The Ohoe is a dream if you use soaker hoses because it just slips right under them. No more worries about chopping holes in your hoses. And no more stooping over and over to move them back and forth.

Weeding

Got some really tough weeds? You have a couple options. First, you can chop and angle. Second, you can use the "v" in the front and back of your Ohoe. With cutting edges on two sides, cut that obstinate weed by tilting the Ohoe (raising the handle ). Then push forward or lower your handle and pull back. You can cut a really deep hole this way. Then, flipping your Ohoe so it is straight up and down, you can edge and trim up runners.

Under Fencing

The Ohoe weeds great under veining plants. It slips cleanly under tomato frames and all types of fencing. By using the Ohoe in pathway bark and mulched flower beds you can weed, aerate the soil and freshen beds without creating divots.

A Big Bonus -- No more aching backs

It's fast! It's easy! Now your garden can be kept weed free and beautiful and you’ll have plenty of energy left to do other things. It really does make gardening fun. So tinker with it, have some fun and discover new and different ways of using your Ohoe.

(Oh, one last thing. The Ohoe comes in quite handy as a pooper-scooper. But keep those edges away from Fido's feet!)
